The
following piece comes from just reading Dr Wayne Dyers powerful little book
“Being in Balance”
Did
you know we have roughly 60,000 thoughts a day, these are usually the same
60,000 thought we had the day before and the day before that. The problem is we
are not even conscious about these thoughts as they circulate day in and day
out.
Dr
Dyer begins by saying thoughts are like money, we invest them in many things. He asks us the question of ‘would it be wise to spend all our time
investing money in things we don’t want?’ the answer is going to be f
course not, yet this is what we do with our thoughts.
In
my experience of speaking to thousands of people, they are very keen to tell
you what they don’t want, yet they find it much more difficult to tell you what
they do want.
Now
there may be many things in this world that we cannot control but we can
certainly control and choose aspects of our thinking. There may be limits to
our physical worlds but there are no limits to our imagination.
It
doesn’t actually cost anything to use our imagination; in fact it is completely
free. Not only this, it can be exciting, empowering and liberating. Einstein
himself said “imagination is more important than knowledge.”
In
a nutshell when you change your thinking, you change your life. Dr Dyer says .... “When you change the way you process the
world, the world you’re processing changes.”
Try
changing 3 thoughts today.
Every
time you catch yourself thinking you can’t do something, paint a picture in
your mind that shows you can.
